Grandpa

I received a phone call from my mom today, voice quivering asking if I was able to talk for a minute.

Grandpa died last night... in his sleep. Unexpected but peaceful.

Grandpa was an artist in the true sense of the word... both profession and personality.

My heart flooded with memories -a vivid reminder of his spirit and zest for sharing stories, his love for creation and the arts, travel and family.
With out a doubt we know that he is dancing for joy right now in heaven...

I will be traveling to up to MA to stay with my dad (recovering from a stem cell transplant) while my mom goes to MN for the memorial service this weekend.

Please pray for the family, as we celebrate grandpa's life and say our earth good-byes.

Hey Lisa,
Sorry to hear about your grandpa. My grandpa passed away two weeks ago, also unexpectedly, but peacefully. I was (am) torn about feeling sad for myself, but happy for him. He told his pastor that the first thing he was going to do when he got to heaven was "dance a jig." I feel so grateful that I have so many fond memories of my grandpa. Beth and I are praying for you and Jeff and your families through your sadness and joy and we are sorry for your loss.

Peace,
