Hipster Alert

So has anyone heard about this new book, The Shack. My predictions, Its the next new Christian Hipster/Po.Mo. (Aka Blue Like Jazz) book that makes a big impact beyond the Christian community (but also within the community as well). Its the perfect storm, my friend Paul Berg mentions it. Greg boyd mentions it in a service a week back and Ben Worthington III mentions it on his blog...and it creaps on the NYT list via a grass roots movmement (and the author is from Portland)... well then....instant insane street credit.

Yeah I'm still going to buy a copy and read it, that way I can say I read it before it was ubber popular, thus if needed I can keep my status as "sweet" and "progressive" elevated above normal levels...

but seriously from what I hear well worth the read (It's getting legendary reviews). Don't worry I just ordered it (amazon) and after I read it I'll let you know. I'd also be intrested if anyone has already read it to hear their thoughts...(feel free to comment)

All the uber hipsters in "uptown" as well as East Lake Streeters love "The Shack"!
I borrowed my rents copy while I was in Chicago. I've got 20 pages left. So far it has been a great read. It presents an interesting philosophical perspective of what a human's relationship with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit could look like as well as many other questions that plague humanity. I'll be interested to talk with you more in depth about the book.
