We had 4 healthy, leafy, broccoli plants that have now been eaten down to the nub...
Jeff isn't sure of he wants to "kill" the wood chuck, or simply place the fear of God into the little rodent to never come back.
Jeff's passionate mission is to both save the rest of the vegetable garden and bury the woodchuck's home(s) around our yard.
I have a feeling the persistent little buger will be back tomorrow.

Jeff,
I have a few suggestions to deter this pesky varmint.
I.) Go to your local garden shop and purchase Coyote urine and sprinkle that around the garden.
II.) Gather human hair from a barber shop or ask your friends who have pets if they could save some hair from when they brush their animals. Place the hair throughout the garden and on the plants.
III.) Jeff, drink lots of water throughout the day. Take a large, empty container and fill it up with your urine. At night, sprinkle it throughout the garden.
If all else fails, you could set a trap and catch the little guy. Hope one of these works.
JP,
I so greatly appreciate those tips, I appreciate how you singled me out for the urination tactic

it probably doesn't matter who takes action. either way you will be getting this pesky rodent out of your garden. best of luck
I LOVE that you posted this, splendid.
ok update....the fencing and my passive agressive ways of dealing with the little guy (putting rocks in front of his hole and occationally putting the hose near his hole) have seemed to get ride of him at this point...I'll keep you updated....
