We're on the eve of our first Sunday service(s).
Tomorrow I will lead worship in four services of people I have either just met or do not know. We have absolutely no connection other then Jesus yet, that is all that we need. It is a constant reminder that all we need is Jesus. Often, in the hustle of life I do not remember to just need Jesus and Jesus alone, it is not until I take a step back or something tragic happens that i remember that all we really need is just Jesus.
Lisa's dad just needs Jesus's healing hand.
Many of you have been aware that he has been in the hospital as of late feeling ill/fatigued and has had some blood transfusions. We have found out that his treatment from cancer a few years back in addition to aging, has more then likely damaged his bone marrow permantly. Essentially his bone marrow is not capable of make good (mature) or enough (quantity) cells (red blood cells, white blood cells and I believe platelets). The treatment required to cure this degeneration is a bone marrow transplant (stem cell procedure). This is a very risky procedure and on paper does not have the best "success" rate for the receiver (my dad) to fully accept the donor's cells. It will take time to find a stem cell donor, go through the procedure, and heal.
Thankfully we believe in a BIG God, the God of the broken the friend of the weak.
We will keep you updated and appreciate your prayers.
