On Nightline last night...

M D

How do you feel about Nightline calling Mark the Indie Rock Star of the Evangelicals? (its a pretty broad group to attach one figure head to)

Jeff and Lisa,

Miss you and love you. Look forward to catching up when we get back.

In regards to the Nightline interview. In these times (or any time) a Christian only needs to be on the news for bringing peace and hope to the hell on earth. It reminds me of Jesus woes about making converts to hell. Anyone who claims that they're going to heaven because they're a Christian has lost the narrative. Heaven is not the point, this earth is the point. I see heresy every time I hear a labeled Christian speak of hell and heaven.

Lets get over how many people are at our churches and keep accomplishing heaven on earth. People coming can be a healthy representation, right along with people leaving. Let's stop focusing and talking about it for a few years and just roll up our sleeves, drop to our knees and get going with the world and soul in ruin AND in need of hope and peace. Learn to teach and follow all of Jesus teachings rather then certain parts (a lesson for us all.) HELL IS ON EARTH, pray and act in regards to the Middle East and shut up about people going to hell without proper explanation.

You love to have sex with your wife...great, I look forward to it, WOW! Is that radical? Is that edgy? Is that the climax of our prophetic spirit? Healthy sexuality is great and needs to be taught, amen and amen. Yet if you want to get radical and edgy? Go to the steps of Washington and pray and demand that the US does everything possible to fight for peace in the Middle East. You want to get edgy? Take those eight thousand people and have them go find all those who are living in poverty in Seattle and help support them for a year while helping them find a job. If you want to talk about sex then spend the next year talking about sex slavery and the reality that it's hell on earth. If you want to be radical then talk about every form of hell on earth for every time you talk about a disembodied hell in some eternal place to go along with your disembodied platonic heaven.

Never mind restoration of all things and resurrection. The essence of our hope and the essence of Paul's teachings. Does it even matter? A lot of people show up every sunday. Even more then that, they're all going to heaven and if you don't join us to give us 8001 your going to hell!

The Christianity that he and many speak about is not mine.

Stay warm,
Stephen
