This weekend I (Lisa) am in Allentown, Pennsylvania taking care of my 3 nephews & niece while my brother & sister in-law are in Italy celebrating their 10th year anniversary! While I've been gone... Jeff & Jon (my brother) have been very busy getting the yard under control, prepped and pretty for spring (see pictures)!
The have dug up the garden & planted some chive & rhubarb (that my mom brought down from her garden in MA) as well as purchased & planted a raspberry bush!
They ordered and spread crushed rock for our "guest parking spot" & mulch will arrive Monday for all of our flower beds!
They laid grass seed & top soil on the lawn, watered the lawn & perennial garden!
And finally the wood... they helped a family from church chop down a tree (free fire wood is always nice :-) Jeff's goal is to NOT pay for heat next winter (just use our wood burning stove:-) !!!

I can't wait to park in your guest parking spot ... and I can't believe that you guys have moved on from shopping for mulch from Benny's.
haha, i love it. especially the part about the free firewood, jeff was so excited about it on sunday at church, he was telling everyone. and then when he got to my house for dinner he was telling my parents. so great.
