I have applied for numerous jobs at universities, ministries, and non-profit organizations. In that time, I have had some informal interviews with employers who are interested in creating a job for me in the area of mentoring and personal developlment.
God has provided richly for us in our tranistion out east, in which we are so thankful; A great church, a house, supportive comomunity etc... and I have know doubt that (in God's timing) He will reveal to me what and where he would like me to serve.
In the meantime I have been able to spend some time with my parents, meet a lot of women in the church, attend Women's Bible study(s) and really be open to what God has for me.
It's been a season of learning to slow down, a season of "forced" rest - instead of being such a busy do-er... God has been been yet again teaching me to learn how to "BE"...
So I ask you friends, as you think of us; please pray for God to continue to work in and through me, to lead and direct me in this season of seeking; "what do you want me to be doing?"
My hearts desire is to work part-time allowing for Jeff and I to have a somehwhat consistent weekend (Friday/Saturday) and to allow for me to freely particpate, grow and be present with the church community.
Thanks for your prayers.

God will show you a job in His time, Lisa.
In the meantime, we have been very grateful for your visits to the hospital, help with cleaning (and redecorating!) the house in prep for Dad's coming home, and for your emotional support through it all.
In God's ecomony, no time is wasted.
Love, MOM and DAD
Lisa,
I understand what it's like to be forced to slow down, although more naturally a do-er. I'll be praying for you and Romans 12:2 is leading me, here in my new adventure.
I'm glad I stumbled upon your stories!
