Here is a Devo I prepared for the worship teams, Essentially these are some questions that I ask myself daily, sometimes even hourly....
....give me your thoughts people....
*How do you create/what are important elements in creating services that minister to multi generational or multi ethnic congregations?
*How do I select music? Does the music resonate with the overall theme of that service? Is the music reinforcing the theme or causing us to go off track (thematically)?
*What is my/your definition of worship? Is worship bigger then 20 minutes on a Sunday? (by the way it is!!!!) and If so how do I express that and let the congregation know that?
*How do we as leaders make sure worship on Sunday mornings is corporate and not just a performance? Is it important that the congregation hear themselves and those around them sing? What is our body posture and is it important in worship?
*In music and worship is the absence of music and noise just as important as the notes (the music and the noise?)
*How important is preparation (from a spiritual standpoint) and also how important is the care and maintenance of the tools of worship? Do we see the mics, the music stands, the sanctuary as tools designed and set apart for worship? Or just as stuff?
