It seems pretty surreal hearing news coverage from the last 12 hours about the Minneapolis 35W bridge collapse...
I can't count the number of times we have driven over that bridge. It is estimated that approximately 200,000 cars everyday travel over that portion of 35W/University/Washington Bridge.
Our thoughts and prayers have been with the victims & families and the countless and men and women involved in the various rescue and recovery mission.
To our friends in Minnesota, how are things there>?

Things back here in Minny are pretty crazy with the whole bridge accident. It is rather strange to have something so extreme happen here in Minnesota, and everyone everywhere you go talks about the bridge accident. It became real to me today when I went canoeing down the Mississippi river and our take out was a 1/4 mile north of the accident, but rescue boats were refueling while we were pulling out. Prayers are needed and appreciated. Thanks again Jeff and Lisa for letting me stay with you two this past week.
Jeff and Lisa, congratulations on the house. It will be fun to move in and have a place to call your own. Now you get to have fun working on it and keeping it up. The pictures look great. Those boats make mine look pretty tiny. The bridge disaster has backed up traffice everywhere. It is wierd that it is gone. It was used by everyone. Congratulations and take care. Mick
